We opened the doors of St Petroc’s Bistro near Padstow Harbour, over 30 years ago. Offering a relaxed experience with a menu that focuses on celebrating the best of Cornish steaks cooked on the barbecue grill, comforting bistro dishes and our catch of the day seafood special. Expect dishes including beef carpaccio or calamari with aioli to start followed by a choice of steaks, lamb cutlets, and a tomahawk to share, straight from the grill.
Whether you find a cosy nook in the main restaurant or choose our private dining room, you’re in is just the ticket for a few hours of pure enjoyment.
Whilst we’ve got you, we must recommend factoring in time before or after your booking for a cosy cocktail in Ruby’s Bar next door where Charlie Stein’s very favourite drinks are created daily by our expert bartenders.
SUMMER OF SHELLFISH
Our Summer of Shellfish is in full swing.
It’s a celebration of British seafood and the main event is grilled Cornish lobster with fines herbes, thin cut chips and salad for £39.95, including a £1 donation to The National Lobster Hatchery.
For over 25 years, Matthew Stevens has supplied us with Cornish lobsters, landed off the north coast near St Ives, just down the coast. These bountiful summer lobsters are prized for their quality and freshness, offering sweet, tender meat with a perfect balance of firmness and delicacy.
We’re very pleased to announce our new lunch specials here in Padstow, featuring a fine selection of familiar favourites from Head Chef Dan. Our lunchtime picks showcase the best of Cornish ingredients.
Look forward to enjoying our Cornish lobster roll, made to Jack’s recipe and served with chips, or French classics like moules frites and steak frites. For something lighter, try our summery chicken Caesar salad, or enjoy the rich flavour of our tomato Cavatelli alla Norma.

All lunch specials are £15.95 and served every day from 12pm to 3pm.

Our popular charity lunches return in autumn 2024. Last year our charity lunches ran for twice as long with the menu changing half way through, giving you twice as many dishes to choose from.
Come together with friends and family to enjoy a great value three course set menu, of dishes not usually found on our menu and find the perfect date or take the opportunity to pick your favourite dishes from both menus and support a wonderful local cause twice.
